Noosa councillors' declared interests
A councillor must tell the chief executive officer of an interest within 30 days. The chief executive officer keeps the register; council publishes an extract of it, and has to update that within five business days of a change. What reaches the website is 128 separate PDFs, with no way to see what any of them says without opening them one at a time. These pages are what we have been able to read out of 109 of them, gathered per councillor.
An extracted item is listed once, with the date of the earliest readable file that carried it, rather than repeated for every file that carried it. The underlying PDFs are all linked, from every line, and are listed as documents under registers of interest.
What these pages are, and are not. They are a finding aid built by machine out of council's PDFs, not a change history you should rely on. 107 distinct items were extracted from 109 files. Another 19 are annual confirmations — a councillor stating that nothing in their register has changed, which carries no interests to extract — and 0 are registers we hold but cannot yet read as data, nearly all of them scans. Council words the same interest differently between form versions, and a wrapped line can be split differently in one file than in the next, so the same holding can appear more than once and can look as though it came and went. Check anything that matters against council's own copy, which every line links.
