Services & Organisation Committee Meeting - 6 September 2022 Transcript

Tuesday 06 September 2022 · 2 minutes of recording · 22 lines · 2 voices, 0 named

This is a machine transcript of council's recording, produced by automatic speech recognition and not checked line by line against the video. Councillor and place names are corrected where a human has approved the correction; everything else is what the model heard. Quote the recording, not this page — every timestamp below opens council's own video at that second. Recording © Noosa Shire Council; the transcript is ours, made from it so the meeting can be searched and read.

Speakers: the machine separated 2 voices and names 0 of them — only where the recording itself establishes who it is (they introduced themselves, were called on by name, or their voice matches meetings where they were). The others stay “Speaker N”. Hover a name to see why it is there.

00:00:00 Speaker 2: This is a meeting of the Services and Organisation Committee. Before we begin, I'd like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land upon which we meet, the Kabi Kabi people. Pay respect to their elders, past, present and emerging. In terms of apologies, we have Councillor Mayor Stewart away today as an apology. All the other Councillors are in attendance. Can I get a confirmation of the minutes of the last meeting, please? Moved, Mr Chair. Councillor Wilkie, seconded by Councillor Lorentson. Thank you. All in favour? No presentations or deputations. And there are no reports for consideration of the Committee today. So for the benefit of those watching, there are no items on the agenda. I'll ask the Acting CEO, Councillor Sengstock, to give us an explanation as to why we have no matters to deal with today and where those items that would have come to this Committee will be dealt with. Speaker 1: Yes. So you've sort of answered it anyway because I'm sitting in for the CEO who is away and a number of our staff who are related to these reports. The reports are away and some of the reports are best delivered to the General Committee

00:01:00 so they'll be coming to the General Committee next Monday. Speaker 2: And we can expect some items from the General Committee that would normally come to this Committee. Yes. Thank you. There being no items for consideration or reports known for the Committee, no confidential session, I'll decline the meeting.
