PAT SPICER Question 1: As the 24/25 financial year is now history, for what was the $3.3 million allocated in the 24/25 Noosa Council Budget for 62/64 Lake Macdonald Drive project? Response from Kim Rawlings, Director Strategy & Environment The allocated $3.3 million was a high level initial construction cost estimate to allow the project to proceed to the next stages. The project was delayed to enable further community consultation resulting in design changes which deferred construction until the 2025/26 financial year. Question 2: How much of that $3.3 million 24/25 financial year budget allocation for 62/64 Lake Macdonald Drive project was used? Response from Kim Rawlings, Director Strategy & Environment Of the total $3.3 million project budget, approximately $49,000 was expended in the 2024/25 financial year, comprising staff time, consultation and design costs. No remediation or civil work costs were incurred during this period, as construction did not commence until the 2025/26 financial year. The meeting adjourned at 10.25am The meeting resumed at 10.40am
